creeping fucking film.
How I feel every morning.
Possibly the greatest film of the last decade.
yeah... but it looks pervy.
I refuse to watch this, and Indeed anything that glorifies the war in middle-east. The reason it won so many countless awards is precisely because it is an exponent of that same mentality; that characterizes soldiers as heroes....when in actuality they're fodder.
a mesmeric, elliptical masterpiece. It is in this film that Cammell's preoccupations are most evident. Themes of empathy, drug use, cut-up technique: a la Gysin/Burroughs, Borgesian imagery: mirrors etc... recur frequently. Familiarising yourself with the aforementioned writers would aid you in trying to unravel the mystery.
where we're going, we won't need eyes to see....
Nietzsche's Superman.
One of my favourite films.
this film is comprised of tired old cliches.
This is Gondry showcasing his technical expertise. Sadly, it's doesn't amount to more.
great film, but a disappointing ending.
My favorite Herzong film.
Well what did expect from someone who resembles Harold Shipman facially?
I love how this infuriated people, and his proclamation of being "the greatest film-maker alive". This is the work of an uncompromising solipsist, beautiful.
more people need to take it upon themselves to make audacious works like this.
spawned the magnificent 'Eiffel 65' who paid homage to Jarman with their sublime 'Blue Da Ba Dee'
obviously one of the greatest films in history.
why Bono! Did you really have to blemish the name of Cohen?
dreeeeammmm oooof loiiiiifffeeeeee
excellent film, but flawed.
shockingly bad film. The only good bit is when Mark Kozelek of the band Red House Painters, has a cameo "Dude, Fix your fucking face" Why did he even bother to remake this, The original Open Your Eyes is great.
The Parallax View.(1974) - an underrated, and brilliant work.
stunning.
Blurring the lines between reality and fantasy this film adopts an interesting premise; one concerning the throes of film-making. Very imaginative and well-executed; one drawback perhaps, is the all too sentimental ending. Interestingly, Buscemi acts in another film about film-making 'In The Soup (1992) Which I much prefer.
I enjoyed certain aspects of the film, I thought Larry David's portrayal of a misanthropic quantum physicist was compelling. Unfortunately, the English actor was insufferable; his dialogue and delivery banal.
"They call It the coma diet; eat nothing while you sleep"
Fackin' Calves on that.
Yup, I'm clawing this one into my personality. For sures xo
