oh my,i'm pretty certain i've seen disastrous projects from famous masters too like Wong's Blueberry Nights or Campion's miserable In the Cut....i find it charming though that they've attempted to expand their audiences in a broader,if not more popular coalition... i love Tsai's visual entity though (especially Vive L'Amour and The Hole) and i'll keep in mind your critique once i see Visages,Hou also disappointed me a little with his latest efforts speaking of East Asia. can i also sa the same for Haneke or Funny Games was just a commercial despondency?
i will be searching for Dust of Time because i missed the official premiere and it only played in selected cinemas which are quite far from the suburbs i live. actually,i'm waiting to see Weeping Meadow and Dust of Time as a back to back spree since they're the only remaining Angelopoulos films i haven't watched yet...i don't know if i'm going to be "disappointed" because his touch started withering even from Ulysses but an Angelopoulos film is always interesting to check out instead of indulging in a Michael Bay film...haha!
