Yes, I too sensed that the film reflected Bresson's ideals of cinema.
It's just like a ripple on the stream of time.
It's so hilarious; wonderful scenerio.
a very interesting timeline structure and never seen in other Tawanese pictures before or after!!!
excellent!!! a very strict mise-en-scene which is never seen in other new wave filmmakers!
what the amazing flashback it is !
a great film and a little bit like Bresson...
The notorious cheating flashback is not a flaw but the best part in this picture. What makes Stage Fright not so enjoyable is probably the dragging pace which mostly come from the character of father...
the monologue is just too long...
The most underrated Hitchcock picture
so sad...
Although the most part of the film is quite normal, the ending is splendid.
just take a look at the crying wall...amazing.
Excellent picture, my favorite Hichcock in 30s.
a very strange film...
It is interesting to see Hitchcock's test of the use of sound.
The court scene is nice but other parts are just ok...
Although the plot is poor, there are some splendid scenes.
It's really hard to see such a classical love movie right now
so touching and charming!!!
The camera movent has never seen in any silent movie !
It's a kind of "Tokyo Story"...
The editing is amazing, wonderful rhythm !
The color and framing are really great !
Porque te vas...what a song!
The ending is amazing.
From cinema technique point of view, it's truly a masterpiece.
It just breaks my heart.
The third part is a flaw. I don't know why Hou never picture the present Taiwan quite right.
Amazing. Totaly blow my mind away.
I think this is the best of David Lean.
