Kiss Kiss Bang Bang

This is the direction the decade should have taken but instead we were charged with absurd big budget and unfulfilling cgi flicks. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang does something very well. It considers the advances in the social structure of the last twenty years. We have leads characters with flaws and they arent afraid to admit them and keep living. We have drama, comedy, and one of Val Kilmer and Robert Downey's best performances. If David Lynch gives us the darker side of neo film noir then this one certainly hands us a likable troupe of noir advances. It the Have and Have Not of the decade which weaves a story not only saddening in places, but also offering us a clear sense of justice on the happenings that go wrong.
