…And “The Room” is actually a “black comedy”.
I think “Showgirls” is so terrible that it almost doesn’t seem possible that it was done without any sort of intentional camp value. But I truly believe that all efforts that went into creating “Showgirls” were seriously misguided and resulted in a terrible and hilarious film.
Forrest Gump: Idiotic right-wing wet dream. I hate how it’s written with idiotic catch-phrases in mind. I hate all attempts it makes to be cute, clever, or humorous. I hate how it feels like just another contrived “Oscar gold” movie.
Battlefield Earth: I rented this recently hoping to find another “Troll 2” or “The Room” for my friends and I to laugh at. I was so disappointed. Awful. Not funny; painful.
Ben & Arthur: This one seems like a cult movie waiting to happen. It steals its ending so shamelessly from “Scarface”. I kind of adore it.

“Smaller movie titles, such as recent IFC theatrical releases “Tiny Furniture” and “The Killer Inside Me,” will air on Rainbow sibling Sundance Channel, while IFC will focus more on popular indies and indie-minded studio films such as “Pulp Fiction” and “V For Vendetta.”
fuck.
but on the plus side…There are other “Food Party” fans on MUBI? Cool.
I desperately want to see “Oxhide II” and “Bumming In Bejing,” only I don’t have an asiatorrents account. If someone would be so kind as to send me an invite, I would be forever grateful.
