Carey Mulligan was way too cheesy for me. Good movie, terrible ending.
I saw this movie last week and a can't really get it out of my head.
Everything about this movie is still relevant.
Really one of the best movies ever made, and probably one of Bogart's best performances.
Peckinpah really excels at sticking to a theme and exploring it, all the way down to it's most uncomfortable qualities. This movie is no exception. Really well done, but definitely a little unsettling.
This is probably the first criterion I watched. Not only that, but it's probably the first film I saw that made me realize there was much more out there than junk. Forever grateful.
One of my favorite detective movies. Haven't seen many that were this satisfying.
Miyazaki single-handedly blows every Pixar movie out of the water. Just makes them look silly, like wet donuts.
"Are snakes necessary?" One of the funniest things I have ever seen.
Un de mon francais prefere films (I hope I said that right, it's been a while). Really, though, if you give this movie the energy, I think you'll get a lot out of it aesthetically. Very open-ended, the camera work is excellent. It's not like other modern French films I've seen, more upbeat settings and pace than the Dardenne brothers' movies.
Best sequel in history!
I wish I could experience the final scene on the beach in real life. As much as people change, this is probably the only movie that will forever be one of my favorites.
