Despite it's cult film following, I still think that this film is pretentious at best and pedantic at worst. The heavy handed irony is uninspired, and the more I watch the film the more I'm skeptical of it. I currently think it's a good anthem for angst ridden teenagers but nothing more.Favorite Films

Cute little lamb! I can just hear Natalie Wood singing her song in "Gypsy"! I'm glad I followed the lamb here..."Donnie Darko" is a film I saw once (DVD, Director's Cut) more than four years ago. Not bad, but I don't see what the fuss is about. I'm taking a look at it on the big screen early October. No doubt it'll be a huge house, should be interesting to see if it loses anything on second viewing, as you have found.
