Entertaining, charming and sweet, if a tad long and predictable. Could've used a revised ending more in keeping with its premise rather than one seemingly tacked on from a half dozen high concept rom-coms. But all in all a nice time.

I really enjoyed your essay "The Shore as seen from The Deep Sea". It's one of the things that has kept me going. The part about people "embracing you" and "drying you off" hits really close to home for me and extends beyond just making films. It's honestly one of the worst feelings I've ever experienced and I'm glad someone else recognizes it.

Hello. I saw your Criterion cooking contest video. It was beautiful. I particularly like how the last minute is revelatory and how the video raises questions about what cinema is and what constitutes feminist (or any other school of thought) cinema, unlike the other videos in the contest which are just... exercises of style.
