I love cinema, and Criterion have some of my favorite films. I’m currently a film tutor at the college I attend. Soon I will transfer to a UC for a BA is psychology. I plan on becoming a psychologist, but art will always be a big part of my life. Writing, directing my own films, experimenting with photography, writing films, and painting are just some of my outlets.
I will be 20 years old this year (12/30/88), and I currently live in California.
Cinema is…..life! It is both the mirror of the past and present.
I am a die hard fan of indie and foreign cinema. (Most of the films I own seem to be French.)
I tend to like more of the darker films for their psychological themes.
My favorite actress is Isabelle Huppert. (Criterion needs to have more of her films on DVD. She is the cinema god.)
Some of my all time favorite Criterion films include: The 400 Blows, Elevator to the Gallows, Sweetie, Opening Night, Woman in the Dunes, The Red Balloon, Fat Girl, Coup de Torchon, Beauty and the Beast, Orpheus, Through a Glass Darkly, Autumn Sonata, and The Virgin Spring.
