Michal Hogenauer (1984, Prague, Czech Republic) started to work in art cinema during his studies of advertising graphic at Secondary School of Applied Art in Prague. He won several prices for his screenplays and short amateur films. After working as a stand-in for Elijah Wood in Everything is Illuminated he decided to apply for Film and TV Academy of Performing Arts in Prague where he graduated with bachelor film “Children watching night trains” and with the theses about Michael Haneke’s film language. He spent two semesters at photography department in Bergen Art Academy in Norway and also at The Theatre Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague at alternative theatre department. In the present time he is finishing his studies at FAMU, film “Tambylles”:http://www.tambylles.cz/ is his graduation film. He works as a freelance graphic designer, journalist and also as the program coordinator of Fresh Film Fest.
