    i was very moved by it. although i must confess to being close to staring 40 in the face so a lot of it resonated on a personal note :)

    I think age and at what point in a persons life has a lot to do with how this film affects people. I'm 25 and I've felt everything that these characters were going though. I've never been smacked in the face as hard as I had when watching this film.

They showed Barton Fink at the Tate Center? They've gone way downhill since then... it seems like now they just showcase the worst of major Hollywood releases, plus a few nostalgia films from the 90's.

    yeah, i think it had just come out fairly recently. sorry to hear about tate's decline. I remember seeing a double feature of cape fear there as well (ie deniro and mitchum)

    it was 1990 and 1991, i think my show was every other week late. from 10p-1a maybe? i'll have to investigate thru my old papers to verify
