Quite possibly the best film ever created. Tarkovsky is a master.

Gimmicky. If you take away the fact that it is played backwards the film is far from impressive. Props to the editor, about it.

remove the horrible sub-plot and cgi cats and you have a great film.

When you take away Lynch's colors you get a picture that seems like he is having a blast with his DV Cam. Only for serious Lynch fans who won't mind sacrificing what made Mulholland Dr. and Blue Velvet so surreal (the dreamlike colors)

Kubrick's best work in my opinion. Or, a close second to 2001 if you want to be picky.
