We are Ayelen Liberona and Joseph Johnson Camí, a Producer | Director partnership based out of Toronto and Barcelona. Our last five projects include three short films, Falling(2006), Becoming(2009), and Keepers of the Water(2010), one TV-movie for Spanish television, Adrenalina(2007), and a feature-length documentary, A Grain of Sand(2009), which fought and won the battle to preserve Brendon Grimshaw’s Moyenne Island in Seychelles. The so-called critics have thrown 15 Nominations and 6 Awards our way at 36 International Film Festivals, in case you care – we’ve tried not to. For us, creativity is one of the most beautiful gifts life has to offer and as creators, we feel we want to do that gift some justice by projecting ideas into this world that are socially relevant and pushing the boundaries of change. We believe in a cinema that is not afraid of itself, but that also becomes a force for expression and the exploration of new social ideas. We can entertain without bending over backwards to past dogmas and the empty glorification of war, patriotism and the hero that supposedly is going save the day…
