i need a favor from you. saw this finnish short-film the other day but can't locate neither the creator or the name. i wrote it down but can't read my own handwriting. it's a recent film, it's about the future. it features an instalation of a guy who collects Fiat's parts, a woman reading month by month until she dies, the face ages as well. i dunno if this sounds tricky...
You should definitely make that list, it would be a great resource. Thanks for the tips. Much stuff I haven't heard of. Been wanting to see: Eight deadly shots for years, but difficult to come by with english subs. Do you know if it has ever been released with english subs? I recently saw Milka, and I was really impressed by it. I am trying to check out everything by Mollberg. The next one up is: Ystävät toverit. Have you seen it? My norwegian recommendations are a much shorter list, but these are my favorites : Edvard Munch from (1974), Is-Slottet (1987), Dei mjuke hendene (1998), Oslo 31. August (2011)
Thanks for the NOR tips!! I try to find them on web. I guess "8 DS" hasn't been released with engl. subs. No subs on dvd release either... I consider "Milka" and "Maa on syntinen laulu" (1973) best of Mollberg's films. "Ystävät toverit" is kinda Citizen Cane of Finland... kinda. With a mild Fassbinder cruelty. If you can get hold of Teuvo Tulio's "Rakkauden risti", "Hornankoski" or his camp classic "Sensuela", I'd bet u enjoy them. I think they have subs in Nor.
