20. Arrebato (aka Rapture; Zulueta)
No vote war—just trying to keep Zulawski’s Possession on the list as long as I can… a futile cause, I know :(
(And still kicking myself for missing that first day of voting…)
My minus votes are dictated more by the position of the movies around Possession than anything else. No grudge against American Graffiti (or any other film), just trying to “work” the structure of the list that PolarisDiB has put together… Plus I don’t feel comfortable voting movies down if I’ve yet to see them, which is the case with a number of the films in that section of the list… If I had to guess, AG will still be around on the list long after my personal favorites, so I wouldn’t worry ;)
Death Watch (Tavernier)
The Ruined Map (Teshigahara)
Summer Soldiers (Teshigahara)
On the Silver Globe (Zulawski—the stress here being on proper release)
The Devil (Zulawski—ditto)
The Blue Note (Zulawski)
Boris Godounov (Zulawski)
My votes took Possession into the top 20 twice I think, but the relentless (RELENTLESS) voting down of the film caused me to switch support to the other Zulawski films still on the list, both of which are just as deserving of the top 20. If other Zulawski fans would like to join forces behind Possession though, I’ll gladly pitch in, as that remains my personal favorite.

“Zulawski is in the list!? I’ll vote, even if I don’t like these type of lists.”
Many, many thanks!
@KingofPain
“If I had more positive votes to use, I’d vote for Possession.”
Maybe when the rules change, eh? (hint, hint) ;)
