followed you cause I loved your "ABOUT ME" and your "I live mostly in my own head but I am hoping to close on a house tomorrow." on your Where Are You From topic. Nice.
I understand your point of view, but you might take some of those remarks about your comments too personal. There will always be split opinions on the selected films, and attacking any of those films you dislike bears the risk that an admirer of the film might critizise your comment. You still have the chance to keep your statements neutral, but if you want to take the risk shouldn´t you feel offended if there will be a reaction, and thus either argue on the issue or simply ignore the comment, but not turn it into something personal. I think that it would be a waste of time to attack each other while the competition offers us the chance to discover and discuss unknown masterpieces of world cinema each of us obviously relates different to. That being said do I still appreciate your contribution and hope that you´re going to participate in the next rounds.
"The more of your posts I read, the more I am convinced that you are not a real person but an elaborate joke perpetrated by some dadaist collective."
the more i read of YOUR posts, the more i'm convinced you're a subjective academic with Western attitudes..
GOOD DAY!
p.s.: live long dada and freedom in Art your narrow-minded ass....
"I think that I gave a pretty clear reason for not liking the movie but I do realize that you quite possibly didn’t understand a single word that I wrote. Tell me, is it difficult to go through life without a sense of humor? Or are you just to pretentious to care? Don’t demonize people just because they don’t like the same movies as you do."
i don't demonize,i criticize,there's a difference....
of course i did but hostility doesn't equal criticism....i do have a major sense of humor but i can't stand hostility...it's not about what people like,it's about noble arguments....i may think it's a travesty for someone to adore Three Burials so much but that doesn't mean the film means nothing to a person, other Michael Bays can do that in their spare time, not Tommy Lee....so please don't tell me i'm pretentious or else i'll think you're one of those academic viewers..
"continues to be an enigmatic mix of bad grammar and self-important, pompous outrage"
only a Westerner would say that....
