There Will Be Blood

Paul Dano almost stole the show, if DDL has not been the amazing actor he is. Why was PD not nominated for an Academy Award? Because the AA are irrelevant to good taste.

Hi Everyone. Thank you for being patient. Subtitles have now been included.

Like everyone else I too am anticipating the release of this film. Judging from the trailer, I'm a bit disappointed that it doesn't convey any of the darkness I recall from the book. Everything is illuminated here and is that because it's trying to capture everyone's favorite nostalgia or are we in for a huge surprise of eery mystification?

Juliette Binoche

She's hauntingly brilliant in Kieslowski's Bleu.

The Shining

Most AMAZING trailer I've ever seen. Simplicity is the key.

Sam Rockwell's performance is superb, as the role was written specifically for him. There is one fight scene...the effects are pretty impressive. If you compare this $5 million budget with Sunshine's $50 mill budget you really can't notice a huge difference. Overall, it's worth seeing. Inspired from classic sci-fi films this is a great first feature for director Duncan Jones, yet not a quite a classic.

The Decalogue

These 10 films touched me. I had to watch them a week apart due to "heavy material" content. Kieslowski's presence is felt through each image, rendering him a true auteur.

Darwin's Nightmare

John Malsbary, you literally stole the words from my mouth. This documentary still haunts me. I, too, have seen it once - in a festival three or four years ago. It's a must-see, and a one time only must-see. We get such a distinct view on the people and conditions of Tanzania, it hurts to watch. Also, for any amateur who finds documentaries boring, here you go.
