Star Trek Into Darkness

Star Trek into LENS FLAIRS! Abrams delivers again. I know fans are mixed on this installment but as a pure action/adventure film this was a lot of fun. First blockbuster this summer that works for me, makes Iron Man 3 look amateurish.

Thanks for following me! Yeah, I've really been diving into portuguese cinema lately. Tabu was one of my favorites last year and I can't wait to checkout Joao Pedro Rodrigues' Last Time I Saw Macao. Also can't wait for Olivera's Gebo and the Shadow.

Hey, i saw your review of Argo, and i thought i could agree on a lot of different aspects you raised. Do you think Ben Affleck has any potential to make a more, umm, i don't know how to put it, 'better' film? Hmm

He absolutely could make a better film. He's not untalented. I just think he could try to make something a little less pandering to the lowest common denominator. Gone Baby Gone is still his best film and a very solid one. I think he can get over casting himself and just focus on directing he might come up with a better film.

The Long Goodbye

I put off seeing Robert Altman’s The Long Goodbye, mostly because I had mixed feelings on some of Altman’s output. Although I loved many of Altman’s 70’s films particularly McCabe and Mrs. Miller…  read review
