Always looking for interesting films, and having looked around this place, realize that I need to get cracking on my never-ending backlog of classics and world cinema titles. Yes, I know listing “Auteur-driven” and “Inspired collaboration” conflicts, but I believe both are valid and can result in tremendous films. Also terrible ones.
Not a big fan of rating movies, so if you really want to know how I feel about a film, y’know, ask me. But a rating scale would go something like:
★ = Unwatchable, soul-pummeling dreck.
★★ = Flawed/mediocre.
★★★ = Quite engaging.
★★★★ = Outstanding/excellent.
★★★★★ = Masterpiece.
