From a previous short experience in Re_Edit group, engaged in a research oriented in extemporaneousness sound-image relationships, Fabio Barisani and Luca Spagnoletti founded AVflying project in 2009.
Sound and video cooperate in creating an abstract narration, regarded as a whole, although the authors work in complete autonomy.
The musical composition is generated, almost exclusively, with the use of synthetic sounds. The music works as an abstract stimulous for the visual de-contestualization of everiday objects operated in the video. These objects acquire new and unexpected interpretations with the use of analog and digital techniques.
Fabio Barisani was born and lives in Naples.
He worked as an artist, graphic designer, photographer.
His interest for multimodal and multimedia communication has seen him in recent years, creator and co-founder of some research projects on creative audiovisual languages. He is a professor of the Academy of Fine Arts.
Luca Spagnoletti was born in Milan and lives in Rome.
Composer with numerous collaborations in the field of visual arts. Since the mid-’70s his research is also focused on analysis and sound manipulation, collaborating with several other Italian and foreign composers. He has performed concerts in Italy and abroad. As a composer and sound designer, has participated in numerous Italian and European festivals.
