I agree with Belmondo…Scorsese has become a victim of his own desire to be a “Grand” man of cinema…he’s become addicted to his image and it’s maintenance…my suggestion: make a film with 2 million dollars of your own money and be an artist again-
A warm walk for new lovers…when suddenly the film seems to stop… as Alain Delon catches a glimpse of Monica Vitti’s breast through her white shirt … Antonioni’s “L’Eclisse”
I thought this a beautiful piece of neo-neo realism.. Chinese village landscapes,hard- work, prostitutes (fine sex scenes) murder, betrayal, guilt, cities..towns and coal… Has the director made another film?
L’Eclisse- Gianni di Venanzo, 81/2-Gianni di Venanzo, Millenium mambo- Mark Lee Ping Bing, Happy Together- Doyle , Last Life in the Universe-Doyle, Barry Lyndon-Unsworth , My Life to Live-Raoul Coutard , Apocolyse Now- Storarro , Persona- Sven Nykvist

One of the most purely and voluptuously beautiful films ever made. A work of commited poetry. Brave and waste-less.
