WOW ! I want to watch...
Turkish Garden State is waaaaay better than Turkish Spiderman...
Funny Games is the carton of cigarettes, you (the audience) are the child that was caught smoking and Michael Haneke is your dad...... The Piano Teacher is just in case you didn't learn your lesson the first time....
This is a pretty great film. But when it comes to a Graham Green story directed by Carol Reed...... Well.... You know....
I really hope that the juggalo community never learns how to read subtitles..... They will never shut up about this movie...

This film would have benefited a great deal from the addition of one single, likable character....
I'd like to watch this as the second film in a triple feature that starts with Polanski's Repulsion and ends with Cronenberg's The Brood...
Makes me wonder how long after you first experience a film do you have to wait before you start calling it one of your all time favorites...
I was very surprised that a film that is almost entirely dialogue driven could be this engaging to me. One of the best films dealing with the philosophy of faith I've ever seen.

This film reminds me of the time Japanese scientists cloned Andrei Tarkovsky and had him direct a sequel to Moon.
Any fan of the Coen's work should check this one out. There is bits and pieces of this film in several of theirs. Even down to the picture on the wall in Ladykillers.
It was like Taken, if Taken had been a good movie...
This movie wins the award for most most syllables spoken to characters written in title. 10 syllables/ 8 characters..l
Really wasn't expecting to hear "Los Tres Delincuentes" by The Delinquent Habits to be the opening song of the title credits.... Kind of awesome. I definitely still like Miike's remake better, but this one's totally worth a watch.
This movie just really made me wanna watch Blood Simple again. It's not bad, but pretty much everything that was good about it was what was directly lifted from the original.....

You should watch this film if for no other reason than for the cinematic editing, specifically film editing. What was accomplished was nothing short of amazing especially when considering this was literally cut together in '61. Other than that, I would have to say that regardless of how brilliant this film may be, this is exactly the type of film that people who hate obscure foreign cinema are making fun of.
Wish I could give this one more than 5 stars. It makes me wonder what American femme fatale would have been like with out the Hayes code... I really loved this one. Everyone should check it out.
Contains one of if not the best single shots in the past several years. You know it when you see it.
I really love the way Kim Ji-woon directs action in this and A Bittersweet Life. Lots of fast moving POV style shots. I really like when you can move the camera that quickly and not confuse the audience.
I'm really not sure what I saw last night... Freeze frame, wipe transfers (all the time). Random and very jarring score. Crazy amounts of blue screen and even some stop motion fire wood kung-fu..... In short, I loved it.
Coffee table book material... This film is shot so beautifully that you could make a great coffee table book simply by picking random frames and slapping them together.
Simultaneously reaffirmed my love for Jack White and utter indifference for The Edge.
Imagine pitching this one to a studio.. It's about a 60 year old man and his 16 year old fiance. The whole film takes place on a boat in the middle of the ocean and oh yeah, the two main character don't speak to each other...... At all. They communicate by shooting arrows at each other.
Hanzo The Razor: - The Snare!!!!!
This is my favorite film of all time. It works on every level. I can catch 10 - 20 minutes of it with commercials on cable and be perfectly entertained with every scene. Or I can lock myself in my room and stare at the screen, analyzing every frame. I will always love this flick.
