I was too busy to go watch ‘We need to talk about Kevin’ at the local “arthouse” theatre. Your rating has me even more interested to see Ramsay’s follow-up to ‘Morvern Caller’. UK seems to having some sort of cinema resurrection recently.
I was completely prepared for what it was but ultimately i wasn't haha. Ramsay is no joke, the material from the book(i'm guessing) would've made a good movie on auto-pilot but she takes it to another level. Plus, The Tild plays every scene for keeps as well as Miller. I didn't think about it till you said it but the UK has been releasing some films that are speaking quite loudly to me right now haha.
I'm a fairly recent fan. Started with Louis, and then moved on with the stand-up performances. It's his cynicism that I admire most.
I really liked Chapter 1, i was with it through Chapter 2, then all the sudden it went off the rails, through the gravel, into the woods, down a sewer, etc. And then just when i thought it couldn't get worse “Dedicated to Andrei Tarkovsky” i was at a loss for words
