I started out as a painter, a long time ago. When I began doing collage, I felt like I was getting closer to “my” medium. With video, everything came together. For me, the great thing about video is the sight and sound or silence together. Making art is not so much like making a world as being inside a world, a world within the world.

I like the idea of short short video as a “miniature.” I also aspire to make songs, to make videos that are like poems. I don’t mind being beholden to other art forms for my works current definition. It’s all in the family.

Most of my videos were shot with a 2005 Canon A620. A few have footage from other cameras as well, the most advanced being an old XL1. I am contemplating a G12 with stereo sound and 720p next.
