I had forgotten how fine Dorothy McGuire is in this. I'm on her side...Peck's character is indeed a combative bore....his treatment of his secretary is grotesque. Celeste Holm is a psychopath...a whole noir could be built around her unstable character.

Thanks for the follow, MarcH. I had a lot of fun today with your "filmography". I've pretty much given up on all those horror movies, but what a pleasure to find someone who appreciates women who are funny as well as beautiful: Harlow, Hopkins, Davies, Blondell. They become more rare all the time.
