My background’s in the fine arts, both academically trained & self-educated/experienced, focusing primarily with (the element of) narrative, willfully playing with it while working in somewhat of a (video) vérité fashion, anticipating moments, framing just so and working w/in whatever limitations, yet incorporating them into the style, so that they’re no longer limitations but means of transcendence.
Most of the work I’ve done is in photography.

I’ve also acted as Producer, Director, Editor, Graphic Designer & Publisher on a series of three documentaries, all varying in length from half an hour to 2 hours + as part of a collaborative effort with a Anna Shapiro, who’s an obscenely talented multi-media artist. The latter are not online at present, which is a shame, but they deal w/ a variation on the Greek myth of Sisyphus. The series is titled Sisyphus’ Boxes, since s/he’s modern now & s/he’d not be able to fit very much into a rock.
