Oh, by the way, my grandad knew Persian/Parsi/Farsi! (I'm not even sure what the best title would be, but i presume the Mughal empire writing was similar to that of modern day Iran?)
Those three words you said are common for entitling our language (strange but true); however, I believe Farsi is the most popular one for both Iranian and non-Iranian people. Actually I'm not good at history but I think the writing way of people at Mughal Empire is similar to what we call it contemporary Farsi nowadays. And at the end, it is sweet to hear your granddad knew Farsi.
