Hi, Pradeep. Ray's oeuvre is extremely diverse and I can't claim any expertise because I haven't seen his entire filmography. Nonetheless, I'll give you my two cents. I find Ray's explorations of social decay very compelling, so Devi, Jalsaghar and Shatranj Ke Khiladi are must-watches. He's also one of the most explicitly feminist directors I've come across; Charulata, Kanchenjungha and Devi (again) are also worth watching for that reason. Finally, there's always the Apu trilogy which doesn't require an introduction. Hope this helps!
