About Me

Charles Quinn Frutos is a writer/director originally from San Jose, California, where he collaborated with several Indie filmmakers, learning the ins and outs of production. He moved to Portland, Oregon with the intention of going to the NW Film Center. Instead he ended up at Portland State University where he studied Television writing under actor-turned-writer Thom Bray and Screenwriting under Charles Deemer. This is also where he met producer Ryan Gard. He has written, directed the short films: “Smile.”, “Night Moves”, “Loved By You”, “All Roads Lead Home”. He directed and co-wrote the award winning short film “After the Party”. He also directed “Walking at Night”. He has also written and directed his first award winning music video for the song “D.O.A” by the metal band Titarius. He is currently in post production on his latest short film “Because You’re Mine”.

Let-me-in

Let Me In

Having read the novel and then having seen the Swedish film. I have to say Matt Reeves film stays true to the original source material in a way I feel that is an even more faithful adaptation of the book than the first film. Don't treat this film as a remake of a well received foreign film, this is not just another cheap American knockoff like most American remakes tend to be. This film has it's own great qualities.
