the best.
Fuck Crazy Heart! What a movie!
Watching it a second time, with all the big reveals out of the way, you realize what a striking piece of work it is for what it has to say about being an American today. An incredibly sad and gut wrenching movie.
Best movie about modern America ever.
Without a doubt, the sleaziest movie to ever come out of a major studio. Holy Moly! I like it a lot.
this movie rulez.............
This movie has to be seen by any vintage Los Angeles nerds. And its awesome to se that Lockwood, besides 2001 and the pilot for Star Trek, got to do some other cool stuff. It's an almost perfect little movie, but Anouk Aimee and Spirit just don't do it for me though.
I think Hellman was sorta asleep at the wheel on this one, but lucky for him (and us!) it's got: Warren Oates killing it in every scene, a script by Charles Willeford, authentic rural Georgia locations, awesome supporting actors Stanton, Bird, Willeford, Jones (James Earl's brother), Bagley jr(his first role-playing an inbred moron), the sleaziest Steve Railsback ever, and Almendros shooting the whole thing. Gold.
Terrible beyond belief. Made me question liking anything Jackson had done previously. Makes it worse hearing that Lynne Ramsay had spent 4 years adapting The Lovely Bones, and was weeks from shooting when the plug got pulled because Jackon wanted the project for himself.
the only good keanu reeves performance.
gary sherman might be credited as director, but this movie is alex thomson's. truly an under appreciated masterpiece.
