Obviously false. In my case it’s true but doesn’t mean anything.

Castaway on the moon is my fav Corean movie.
If you liked Memories of Murder, then you will probably like Mother (Madeo) a very realistic thriller.

spoiler about madeo: Which thing of the movie is not realistic in your opinion? a mother could definitely do so to help his retarded son out of jail. we should understand that she loses the sense of reality and morality.

Who do you think the most overrated director is? almost 2 years ago

How come? to start, Following idea is 100% original and smart, it is not a masterpiece but its great considering the money he had and the fact that it was his first work.

Who do you think the most overrated director is? almost 2 years ago

Stereotypical but also the truth.

By the way, how is Spielberg overrated? despite teenagers, no one considers him as a serious director and he has atleast 2 or 3 very good movies. Overrated is someone who no one criticizes or question, for ex. i have never heard or read anything bad about Bergman, and i dont think he was perfect, his movies were all in the same direction and if you dont like one you will not like the rest.

Brian DePalma - the Good and the Bad almost 2 years ago

Scarface is the best movie ever about cocaine. So it should be his best movie. Carlitos pretty good. Carrie, Untouchables, Impossible mission pretty bad from what i remember.

Does someone really believe Scarface idea is to glorify and praise Montana’s character? there is no judgment in the movie, it tells facts how they are, the guy is an asshole and turns fucking nuts.

If overrated is a silly word, what about masterpiece? completely non-objective. Who has the right to say a movie is a complete masterpiece and not a decent movie?

I completely agree with La Dolce Vita and Lawrence of Arabia, both have extremely boring moments in the half of them, especially Lawrence.

Mubi's latest 'QT should be killed' thread: Screenplay for his next film 'Django Unchained' is finished almost 2 years ago

Someone who says film is over, doesn’t deserve any attention. Even more if we talk about the same person who criticizes Polanski for ‘not being enough intellectual’.

If someone tells me La dolce vita is a Masterpiece and gives me details on why he thinks that way, it is better than just say an empty word and i will respect him 100 with his opinion. But it is the absolute truth? i do not think that this exists in art.
I am obviously and hypocrite, because when i finish watching a movie i love for tenth time i rise up my hand and shout WHAT A MASTERPIECE!

Does something need to be challenging and inaccessible to be considered "high art" almost 2 years ago

No. Thats what snobs like Tarkovsky wanted, but it is not like this.

Kubrick doesn’t say “as much as subtle a movie is, more intelligent is”. kubrick doesn’t care about what people think about the inaccessibility or accessibility of his movies.
