A former SAR Research Fellow at Australia’s National Film & Sound Archive, Robert is a published film non-fiction author for McFarland & Co. Inc. in the USA – the books Serial Killer Cinema and Terrorism in American Cinema. His film writing is collected by such as Yale University Library, the BFI and the National Libraries of Australia and China. His independent low-budget digital features are collected by the NFSA.

Currently researching censorship and adult XXX film, Robert continues to publish and self-publish video-embedded multimedia eBooks of film criticism. A qualified TESOL tutor, he recently returned to Australia from China after a year of teaching English in Xinjiang province in order to complete post-graduate study in preparation for a PhD candidacy.
