About Me

“Men are free when they are in a living homeland, not when they are straying and breaking away. Men are free when they are obeying some deep, inward voice of religious belief. Obeying from within. Men are free when they belong to a living, organic, believing community, active in fulfilling some unfulfilled, perhaps unrealized purpose. Not when they are escaping to some wild west. The most unfree souls go west, and shout of freedom. Men are freest when they are most unconscious of freedom. The shout is a rattling of chains, always was.”

Son is my son.

I like a lot of that shiiit. Let's see I really like American Football, Joan of Arc and Jawbreaker. They all fall under that tag but kinda have different sounds. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jz9XvduMdec

hmm recommendations...got zip. I've been busy as well. I guess the last two films that I've thoroughly enjoyed is Pedro Almodóvar's Broken Embraces and Abbas Kiarostami's Certified Copy. The Baader Meinhof Complex had it's up's and downs. I enjoyed its coldness and the lack of characterizations but there was something about it's editing and aesthetic that really didn't merge. Overall though it is a pretty badass film. I definitely say check it out. I would like to see his other films since you hold him in such high regard and that interview sounds interesting.
