Walking out after seeing Wings of Desire a large group of women who obviously think they are really deep and total elitest film buffs. (Meaning the 30 minutes leading up until the screening they were talking of the emotional
impact independent movies have on ones soul and mind. They were talking about Juno.)
“Wow I didn’t expect it to be so… deep. So existentialism.” Yes she said existentialism. Then one of the other ladies says, “Yeah from the little description I thought it was a war story with angels that could read thoughts. Huh.”
1. Snow White and Seven Dwarfs (Just look at the beautiful animation)
2. The Lion King (My childhood favorite)
3. Pinocchio (Like Alice below this one I always have tended to ones with a darker or weirder side to them)
4. Alice in Wonderland (I’ve always loved loved the story ever since my parents read it to me when I was probably two, and I have always loved Disney’s take on it and how they brought to life some of the images in my head)
5. Fantasia (As a little kid I loved the music and would try and dance along to it. That and all of the ways they were able to bring the music to a new light.)
6. Bambi (It’s a classic beautiful animation great touching story. Everything that disney used to represent.)
Yeah sorry I had to double the amount. You sent me down memory lane. That being said I’m only 19 so really it’s not too far of a reach)

In no order (and minus Pixar films)
