I have played drums for 10 and a half years. I consider myself an artist in that respect. I have followed cinema seriously since 2007. I’ve never disliked ‘high-brow’ film even when I was younger, but I just didn’t understand the deeper aspects that cinema can bring. With exception to Rob Reiner’s ‘North’, I strongly believe in a director’s work as a whole. In other words, when a director has earned a positive status in the cinematic community, or makes one standout, terrific film, it is then we look at their entire body of work with respect to a director’s imprint he or she will undoubtedly leave on their films of all caliber. If I discover a great movie, I will research that director and collect their entire body of work and look at it as a series of themes and endeavors that have had a genius to mold it. I listen to all types of music, excepting only hip hop, country, and typical popular songs and bands of any genre. I am a Christ-follower, removed from the typical trappings of calling yourself a ‘Christian’ and all of the controversial and hypocritical behavior that usually entails. I actively practice being a fusion of liberal and conservative. Libertarian, I suppose but even that label carries boundaries and I do not hold to them.
