Yeah, the film seemed rather clichéd, and the motivations of the protagonists for their actions often don´t make sense, he certainly was a great filmmaker but seems to have become less cynical and ambitious with the time, but the same has happened to Fellini and others.

How embarrasing. I was scanning through all the Daisy's in memory and sort of skipped right by that one. Should have been obvious. To be honest I think those sort of characters are few and far between but I'll let you know if I can think of a male Daisy counterpart.
