Pure Fault

I felt the same but could never really put it into words quite like that.
"NOW WHAT?!" = solid gold x 10
SO BAD ITS HARD NOT TO WATCH
I CANNOT WAIT
two words... joss (mothafuckin') whedon
one of Scorsese's best
sharp and witty. clever and light. a lot better than I expected
Another striking and unique analysis of the self by Sion Sono. His films seem to honest to be anything but true and to absurd to be anything but fantasy.
hah thanks man, too much credit - there I used the word too properly just to prove I could
there is hope for 3D after all
if i could give this film 6 stars I would
best film of the year? I'd say so
fucking great. best performance of the year so far.
One of the most intense and current films in ages.
This film is fantastic. I was waiting the whole time for a moment of classic Sono absurdity or at least a room covered in blood... and well, it never did. But that makes complete sense once the credits roll.
Where did you watch this? This is one I've been wanting to see for quite some time.
I would have to say that this movie did have this absurdity, but just in a more loving, gentle way then Sono viewers are accustomed too. I won't say when to avoid spoilers for those who havent seen it, but for those who have watched it, I'm talking about the part at the end, I think it will be easy to identify ahah
oh totally Zach, and that's why the film works so well. It's still very Sono at times but it shows a maturity and restraint considering (especially for him) it's heavy themes and personal entanglement to the creator.
Zizek is brilliant!
this man needs a great quote on his page like Abe Lincoln needs a hole in the head
Can anyone tell me where I can find this (if at all) on the web?
What an ending! Brilliantly passionate, ruthlessly raw, unbelievably misunderstood.
probably one of the sharpest auteur quotes on Mubi. well done sir
This movie has a lot of faith in what is conveyed through it's images. I have to respect that. Even if it was a little difficult to get into and understand at first. What a terrific ending.
This film was terrible. But Tom Waits fits in the Fall Out style universe so well! 2/5 at best. The Hughes brothers have a long way to go before they create an action sequence with real tension infused in it. I don't think the silly twist came close to redeeming the lazy story structure and undeveloped characters. The history was kind of interesting.
So the database has two versions of Crank 2 High Voltage and sadly lacks Be Sure To Share... :( sad face
Actually, It's been added - http://mubi.com/films/be-sure-to-share - but it's not completed, and his Sono's name listed different, so it's not showing up here. Hopefully, that'll be fixed.
Crank 2 is great! And I'm glad to hear it's landed even if the page isn't up to speed yet. Such a beautiful film.
Even after several rewatches this film is still the most entertaining, exciting, thought provoking, unique, inspired, inspiring, defying, complex, calculated, fluid, fun, liberating, packed, pleasureful, and honest film I have ever seen. Sion Sono's Love Exposure is the ultimate love letter to the human being and what one can achieve with love in their heart.
the better Nolan
such a fun ride!
a pure masterwork
For the little rascals... wow
Easily Fincher's best. The visuals, the story, the performances - never has everything worked so harmoniously in one of his pictures. It can be as obsessing as the case it's self.
A beautiful and intimate reflection on your creators. Whether they be our parents or the cosmos it's self. I can't think of a grander topic for Malick and I've never seen such massively intimidating themes dealt with in such a simplistic and ultimately human way. This film flows over you like a wave and engulfs your consciousness in the most fundamental and important questions. Thank you Terrance Malick.
one of a kind brilliance!
