All the troubles of the characters seem somewhat pathetic to the snow covered mountains. Guney offers us look at inexcusable honor killings and the final scene is allegorical for the social uprisings going on in Turkey at the time that would lead to the coup of 71

Koza is a film with a calming pace. NBC has an eye for both the beautiful and the horrific. It is a film done in the Romantic style and captures the many facets of life in such a short time. He is the Tarkovsky of our times.
