Why can't sci-fi LOOK like this anymore?

The Clash make a brief cameo in this when Rupert and Sandra Bernhard are walking down the street. Scorsese, The Clash, Jerry Lewis, and one of De Niro's best characters/performances. Four reasons why this needs a Criterion release.

UGH THE CINEMATOGRAPHY IS SO BEAUTIFUL IN THIS

Without a doubt, one of my favorite opening intro scenes of all time. Yeah yeah, PT Anderson took a bit from Scorsese and Altman but you can't deny how great the one-take intro for this film is. Epic soundtrack too.
