Dull yes, but i don’t think that Van Sant would agree with the meaningless part.And as Troy said, it’s very much the point of the film that you can’t tell the killers from the other students until it’s too late. Stylistically, of course, the Bela Tarr’s films are a tremendous influence on Elephant, Gerry, and Last Days.
