Where's "La reine Margot"? :)
Where's "The Bronte Sisters"? :)
Congratulations to Brillante Mendoza! :D
"I've always depended on the kindnes of strangers." Vivien Leigh's classic acting style versus Marlon Brando's method acting - not bad. Tennessee Williams always knows how to make stories that are human and very touching. Kazan's finest film, followed by 1961's "Splendor in the Grass".
No "North by Northwest"?!?
My most fave Polanski films: 1. CHINATOWN 2. REPULSION 3. THE PIANIST
"Touch of Evil" deserves a Criterion treatment :)
"Alright, Mr.de Mille. I'm ready for my close-up." Great story telling...this classic probably inspired the creators of "CSI". But my most fave Billy Wilder film is "The Lost Weekend" :)
The Swingin' '60s...The Bohemian lifestyle...the music -those are a few of the favorite things I liked about Antonioni's "Blow-Up". Though, I find this film a bit remote (maybe it's because of very little dialogues), but not exactly boring - it actually draws the audience in (probably because they want to know who the killer is).
Witty and tragic. Melancholy at its finest. I love Charles Aznavour's music :)
One of Truffaut's finest films :)
I love this film...it really makes you want to *sing in the rain and have a glorious feeling*! One of my most fave feel-good movies ever! "No! No! No! Yes! Yes! Yes!" :)
