Film fanatic, DVD collector, former film journalist for regional small press (Creative Loafing, Indie File, Musicomet), nationally distributed magazines (Video Eyeball, Shock Cinema, EYE Magazine), and mail-order zines (Terminal Brain Rot). I have moderated Film-Talk online. I worked in multi-media retail (DVD/ CD/ HD etc) for 7 years at Borders Books and Music, and 8 years at Barnes and Noble prior to that. I co-produced, co-wrote & co-starred in an indie music video, “The Darkness” for low budget horror film 5 Dark Souls, Part II.
In the last three years, I have also been published in the magazine Farmerphile (illustrating a long unpublished story by sci-fi iconoclast Philip Jose Farmer); Astonishing Adventures Magazine #s 4 and 5 (columns discussing Farmer’s Wold Newton concept); Slam Bang Comics # 4 (article and art collage, “Jazz Deaths”); and issues 13, 14, and 15 of internationally distributed magazine Dark Discoveries (where I was a columnist). My original comix story ‘Snow Leopard’, appearing in the anthology ‘With Honor’, goes on sale this Spring 2011. I am shopping around dozens of scripts and pitches for various comix.
I am currently a reviewer, columnist, and writer of 2 web comix on my wife Sarah’s burgeoning site She Never Slept.com, which emphasizes sci-fi, fantasy, horror, weird and strange tales, and other genre fare, in all media.
