haha, all mystery gone, i will have to delete my profile too. and go on mount athos for a couple of years. before i fly away, i'd be interested in the identity of the owl. it wasn't one of zarathustra's animals, but never mind, i have my own talisman animals to guard me in the cave.

Be careful one isnt an ounaye, a basilisk or a griffin. Why do you guys keep changing names on us? Its like being in a maze...and I dont want to feel that old just yet.

ounaye? i was thinking the cohorts of borges' zoologia fantastica, but i think the cave can't accommodate a zoo. i will take those with shorter names only, they must be lighter on account of that, we can all get in the basket that will take us up to the hermit's apartments. and A., i thought you were new here, i mean new-born, i mean with a less than 3-month stay, and a few days ago i saw your comment on a list, dated sometime around april 2012. ??? how many times did you change passport on mubi? this place is masks and simulacra only, can't trust nobody anymore.

oh MY owl is far more obscure than those monsters. it's a buboribetra, and it heralds norwegian comedy, if you can even credit a thing without thinking i've gone madder than myth. it's from that fools in the mountain that i just watched and sadly found hilarious.

ah. it's only fair to tell you i have a dreadful sense of humour. it's not subtly funny. more like a sweeter, dafter basil fawlty thing. children would laugh at it. don't erase anything!

mm, oh, i figured now, but i didn' mean anything under-belt with that grosse bertha allusion, really, cross my heart and cross-stitch my mouth :). basil fawlty, then i am dorel vişan in occident, with his faux-naif amazement at things and people. "- where can i report a theft? - yes, please, what did you steal?" . i won't erase it, but its uselessness strikes me every day.

occident - i think i can find it on torrents. i will check if they have subs on smz. but... hm, it is a film about romania meeting the world after the fall of communism. before that, romanians could only get out of the country illegally and usually with high risk for their lives. the problem is that this isolation also lead to prejudice, meeting a living black person becomes a sensation and reason of stupefaction. so.. for us here it's bitter-funny, for those outside this soft primitivism can be offensive. i don't know, i will try to find it and let you judge. it also reminded me of a matei vişniec's play, in which he ironically told of a student who wrote s disertation piece on a plastic bag from a western country, which was seen as a promise of liberation, and on the way cans, empty bottles, chocolate wraps were kept in households, just to remind people that somewhere there is a better world, where you can talk freely and to whomever you want. the student ventured to say that it was this hope, maintained and intensified by emptied product packages from the west, the "free capitalist" world, that sparkled up romanian revolution. it's absurd and funny, but still.. occident is this portrayal of a society that emerges from a harsh repression and saluted the inauguration of the first mcdonald with the enthusiasm of a cargo cult saluting the arrival of the vehicle carrying the white gods on it. unfortunately the mcdonalds didn't mean the big change. on the opposite. and younf people are confused and disoriented. and these young people, who are certain that it's impossible, that a fake mcdonald must've arrived without the huge change they've been expected, are heading, or want to head west, to touch the truth with their own hands. to me, it is periculosos sporgersi reloaded.
