Out of the few Keaton films I've seen, this one has emerged as my absolute favorite. Keaton's flair for visual trickery is on full display in this film, as is his gift for physical comedy. The sequence with the motorcycle is one of the most brilliantly sustained bits of hilarity I have ever seen. If you've never seen Keaton before, do yourself a favor and rectify that post haste, and this is a great place to start.
This movie is far from terrible, but it is ultimately disappointing. I really wanted to love it, but I barely even liked it. Despite the great chemistry between the leads, the whole thing just feels lifeless and kinda dull, and was a bit of a slog to get through despite the relatively brisk running time and frenetic pace. I look forward to a sequel, but hope they come up with a better story to tell.
