one of the greatest movies ever!

One of the many reasons I worship Ang Lee! One of my favorite films of his. So brutal and subtle at the same time. An examination of the suppression of suburban housewives and artists during the '70's. I have recommended this film countless times and have never gotten a bad review. The last 15 minutes is deafening...you know what I mean if you've seen the film. Brilliant!

...another Malick masterpiece!

One of the best war films ever made. Leaves SPR in the dust. Malick is a genius, pure and simple. There is a reason why this man only makes one or two films ever ten years. His films are masterpieces in cinematic scope and dramatic power. His vision is unsurpassed. I always find it amusing that a man from Waco Texas can be so brilliant. I always thought he was British!

Haven't seen this yet, but Polanski is a master filmmaker. I know all the controversy surrounding him, but he is still a brilliant filmmaker. His movies are always perfection!
