I’m an engineer and filmmaker living in Toronto. Frequently found in the dark at Cinematheque Ontario, TIFF, and any theatre near where I am, be it Paris, Penang, Hong Kong, or down the street.

Together with my friend Ryan Ming, built tiffr.com, the simple way to schedule your festival for TIFF. Hoping to bring it worldwide in short measure with our friends at The Auteurs.

Rampart

A tragic, tense, beautifully-made film about a rogue cop in late-90s LA. Woody Harrelson gives an outstanding performance as the intelligent yet deeply troubled detective who's hard to like but (almost) impossible not sympathise with as his life careens out of control. The pacing, direction, music and particularly the cinematography are incredibly well done. On my list of the best films of 2011.

What's up with tiffr? All I see is "500" in huge letters and "ohh shit". Then I click on the little arrow. Am I supposed to be patient and something great will happene?
