The original version is a great, fun, rip-roaring yarn.
A masterpiece. Han shot first!
Pro: Visual effects, lightsaber duels, less Jar-Jar Con: Whiny teenage Anakin
Pro: Darth Maul and the Queen's transport. Con: Young Anakin. No one yells "Yippee!!!!!!"
Fun, wacky, mindless entertainment.
It's not a good bad film nor a bad bad film...it is an all right kind of bad. I guess this movie is what one gets when one remakes a 1970s TV movie.
Want to see. Reasons: 1) David Fincher 2) That hot movie poster.
This movie I do want to see. Cinema needs more eccentric film-makers like Von Trier who go there own way, visually and dramatically.
One of those rare perfect movies.
This is a fantastic movie. The cast is wonderful and the cinematography is beautiful
Monica Vitti!
For most of my life I had my hair cut just like Javiar Bardem's character! It was awesome. I was so cool!
Yessss!!! TCM aired Brewster McCloud on Wednesday. Awesome
I believe this movie used to be in constant rotation on the Cinemax. Good times...
I love this movie...and I can't wait for the special 3 disc boxed set of the Head soundtrack being released later this year. What a feast.
From the Rhino Facebook post: "Later this year, the Criterion Collection will release Head as part of America Lost And Found: The BBS Story. The BBS Story boxed set will be available on Blu-ray November 23 and DVD December 14. Head features a new, restored high-de digital transfer (DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 & uncompressed mono soundtracks on the Blu-ray edition). Extras include audioc ommentaries by Dolenz, Tork"
Genius. Visionary. Awesome.
Mastroianni and Claudia Cardinale! Perfect.
Passion. Passion to make a movie at all costs. Passion to bring the best out of a difficult situation. Passion = Herzog. Passion = Kinski.
Louise Brooks.
The colour photography is beautiful, as is Anna Karina. A fantastic movie. I wrote a review: http://vladdytrout.blogspot.com/2009/05/pierrot-le-fou-review.html
Fantastic love letter to cinema.
A well crafted action film. Best of its kind.
The three disc set is a masterpiece.
Great actress.
Criterion must release this on DVD...now.
A brilliant intelligent action movie. One of my all time favorites.
A wonderful, delirious dream of a movie. Bogie and Bacall are awesome.
A good movie. A bit overrated, perhaps. I know the screenplay is taught in schools all over the world. The ending of the film is brilliant. This movie is a shock of darkness and reality in a world of dreams and hope.
A wonderful yet simple movie about the struggle over faith: faith in God, faith in our fellow man.
