The first 40 minutes were FINE. Joaquin Phoenix was good but the screenplay overdid the character's gimmicks. A mediocre movie, almost bad.

no soy muy fanatico de las peliculas mexicanas, diria que mi favorita es el angel exterminador de buñuel o y tu mama tambien. disfruto mucho las ochenteras de ficheras y todas esas comedias sensuales, pero no las considero ni buenas ni de mis favoritas.

La verdad es que no he visto muchas mexicana, pero el cine mexicano en general me encanta... pero la mayoria de pelis son de los 40s. Has visto las de El Indio Fernandez? Creo que son unas de las mejores.

my fav. ones are high heels and volver. well even though i didnt like it, i thought the skin i live in was pretty out there. i think he is more now, taking big chances with big budgets is boldness.but if youre referring to the whole drag culture, hes still doing it... it just changed, it has always been about hiding,not entirely for shocking/comedic purposes. then again i like to focus on the drama and not the folklore, i cant quite get to balance myself out with his movies. what do you think'? which ones your favourite?
