En god film av en god bok, ingen automatikk i det, tvert om er dette en vanskelig oppgave godt gjennomført.

Faces: langt mer komplekse karakterer og bånd mellom dem, enn de siste 60-tllsfilmene jeg har sett. Ansikter (som den heter på norsk) er en god tittel til denne filmen!

This film suddenly changes its mood ('genre') several times. I liked it, critique against corruption in capitalist businesses made accessible through jokes, and easy characters. A good man who stands up for what he believes in (and gets the woman he dreams of!).

The similarity between this and the german version is crazy. So to say the same movie in my eyes, even though the german version is the one I would mention if I were to chose. But that´s probably because that´s the one I saw first. Still relevant, I would say.

I saw this on KICFF (Kristiansand International Children Film Festival) many years ago, and it has stuck with me since. A really good memory from the cinema.
