I get it, dude knows how to break bones and poke people in a 100 different ways, but this is just not the action masterpiece i've been hearing about. Though the story was kept simple with interesting layers, the charachters were beyond boring.
maybe not that funny, but I liked how smart it played. an enjoyable mess.
Mostly harmless
Very good short film about kids and zombies
Just fucking great. And as much as this was Jacki Weaver's show, Ben Mendelsohn totally creeped the fuck out of me.
A must watch for any person slightly interested in cinema as art. Yes, lots and lots and lots of films we love are missing, but we get to know or at least get a nice glimpse of hundreds more. And of course, there is the Mark Cousins factor. Some people can't stand his lifeless narration and others (like me) learned to endure it, probably nobody liked it, but it really does not take away the awe of these 15 hours.
Infuriating and kinda devastating. A sad story about humans and chimps that says a lot about the world we live in and how people can't take responsibilities.
3/5 - As crazy, compeling and fun as it is to watch that trainwreck called Joyce McKinney, I couldn't help but think that director Errol Morris completely lost the focus. He had a fantastic detective story to tell, but was so enamoured by this - undoubtedly magnetizing - character that the third act of the film feels like the DVD extras.
Man, this is nome Alejandro-Jodorowski-fucking-John-Waters-cum-The-Kids-In-the-Hall next level shit. Weird as fuck and sometimes funny.
Finally had some answears, but my questions are not quite saciated. Great little film and great mistery that will probably never be 100% solved.
Works more as an homage to McGee and a teaser for the various bands here that deserve their own documentary. Quite good, but not really great.
For someone so outside of the box as Bobby, this movie sure is conventional. Anyway, it doens't go as deep as I would hope, but it is worth the watch.
I knew so little about Corman and now I trully feel like I owe him so much. What a fantastic story and a very entertaining documentary.
Delicious
It is unique and remarkable like a mix of early Cronenberg, early Carpenter and Boards of Canada, but it also could've done well with about 20 minutes cut from the first half of the movie. All in all an experience one should indulge. Just to imagine what this director could achieve with a script...
Holy shit, this film is all over the place but it really works. It is freaking funny (black comedy) but I didn't expect the last reel to be such a punch in the stomach.
Would've been amazing on the stage, but what we get is a rather interesting little film. Nice turn by Spoladore and Mutarelli begins the movie a little rough, but then turns out to grow a lot through it.
Tripping balls and nuts. What a beautiful mess.
I think I get the message, but i don't really know if it was worth the 100 minutes.
Did I just fall in love with Brie Larson? I think I just fell in love with Brie Larson. Oh, and the movie is quite fun!
McQueen's done a great, but it's Fassbender and Mulligan's show.
Like a mix of Jean-Claude Brisseau and Gregg Araki, only taking it itself a bit more serious. But in all fairness, it kind of works because it is not that pretencious, the cast has it charms and it is helluva sexy.
Holy shit, it's the son of Jorgen Leth. Crazy.
Blergh
Wow, that was reeeallly bad hahaa
Ok, I get it, uh-huh, yeah. Kill'em all and stuff. Fun. But this is hardly a movie at all. It's totally one noted and surprisingly dumb sometimes.
Kudos for Patton!
Almost fooled me with a good begining, nice jumps and humour. But it was, of course, overlong and bloated. What the hell was that crappy villain and the useless recycled plot? Really? And the freaking ending????
Kinda disapointed, but not really a bad Movie. Linklater was really good and the script is actually pretty interesting, but that paw paw shit almost ruined it for me. Also, Miranda can't fucking act. It doesn't get anywhere near her debut feature film.
So it's pretty safe to say that Drum is not dead.
